The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is a professional organization created by and for marketing and business development professionals who are seeking to successfully position their A/E/C firms in the marketplace. SMPS offers members education, professional development, leadership opportunities, and marketing resources to expand their network and their knowledge and, ultimately, advance their careers.
SMPS was created in 1973 by a small group of professional services firm leaders who recognized the need to sharpen skills, pool resources, and work together to build their businesses. Today, SMPS represents a dynamic network of more than 6,300 members from architectural, engineering, planning, interior design, construction, and specialty consulting firms throughout the United States and Canada. The Society and its chapters benefit from the support of 3,250+ design and building firms, encompassing 80% of the Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms and Top 400 Contractors.

SMPS San Diego Chapter
SMPS’s San Diego Chapter was formed in 1983 to serve marketing professionals who live or work in San Diego County and throughout Southern California. The chapter has more than 170 members from over 100 leading A/E/C/ firms and offers monthly luncheon programs, multi-tiered marketing workshops, networking groups, an annual Golf Classic, webinars and a variety of other events.
